Friday Facts

Thankful For: Friends who are willing to drive 8 hours to be with us at Thanksgiving! Go Hulls! You guys rock!

Listening To: Ms. Priss in the bathroom. I'm in the basement and the toilet is right over the chair I'm sitting in...nice...probably TMI!

What's For Dinner: I'm so over cooking right now, that I'm not even thinking about what to pull out of the freezer.

Looking Forward To: The day my husband can quite his job and go back out on his own. REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT DAY!

Missing: The days when we weren't driven by fear to get our kids immunized for H1N1. Thinking we are heading for the clinic this weekend...

Have a great weekend all!

The Change

Thinking of seriously switching to a Typepad. Not a huge fan of Blogger right this moment.

Count Down Begins...

Hooray for me! I'm heading off to a women's retreat tomorrow! Some time to reflect, refresh and relax.

Tightwad Tuesday

How to become a tightwad...

1. Decide you aren't spending any money unless you have too!
2. Realize that picture day is in two days and your son really needs to clean up his "do."
3. Take said son out on the deck and spray his hair, trim and comb into something presentable.
4. Ask him to go look at his reflection in the window, because going inside to the mirror would be too much effort.
5. Thank yourself for saving $15 on a home done haircut!

Friday Facts...on Saturday Morn

Thankful For: My life. The simple fact that I am alive and able to mother my children. This week one of Parker's classmates (5th grade) had to watch her mother pass away! How awful! I can't even imagine my children ever having to face something so terrible.

Listening To: The click of the keyboard, the de-humidifier rumble coming from the basement and Jennie calling for me!

What's For Dinner: What ever I pick up at the grocery store today...fridge is looking pretty sparse, and in my house that usually means there is milk and condiments. I wait til there is "nothing" left before I shop.

Looking Forward To: The neighbor's Halloween party tonight! Its our first year being invited! Apparently its a BIG deal! I will post pics.

Missing: The days when it wasn't such a big deal to get family to come and see you. When you didn't have to beg or persuade people to come for the holidays....the days when it was convenient and no effort had to go into it.
