How Do I love Thee...Let Me Count The Ways

Alright, so I'm a week behind on the Summer Marriage Challenge. This post should have been done last week and just didn't happen. Bare with me, while this week you may see more than one post on marriage and my husband...because we all know how cool I think he is!

Last week's challenge was to Admire your husband. How long has it been since you've thought of your husband as admirable? What do you admire about your spouse? Make a list of those things that you admire and think on them. Those could be the things that attracted you to him in the first place. They could be qualities that you have grown to love and have seen over the years you've been together.

Here's my list:
  • He's honest and full of integrity. I can always count on Kendall to tell me the truth. Whether it be what is going on at work or his opinion of what I'm wearing. He will always speak the truth and never lies. His integrity is never a question to anyone who knows him. He never cheats people and is very ethical in all matters.
  • He's funny! Kendall can make anyone laugh. He walks into a room and just gets people smiling and laughing. When one of our children is feeling low, somehow he always will get a smile on their face. He can find the funny in just about any situation.
  • He's generous. One thing Kendall believes strongly in is giving. He tries to instill that in our home. We give to others. He always wants to give to those in need. Whether it be money, food, a website to help someone...he gives gives gives.
  • He's a wonderful Dad! Our children are so happy to see him come home! They greet him warmly at the door because he is a wonderful father to them. He takes time to ask how their day was. He reads scripture to them at the end of every night. He spends quality time with each of them. He shows them that he loves their mom and that's huge in today's culture. He always has a kind word for them. Even when he's had a long day and would rather watch the news and relax, he takes time to be with them, love on them, and show them that he cares for them.
  • He's a Good Husband! I have been so blessed to be married to this man! He is kind and gentle. He's honest with me. He encourages me in anything I attempt. He provides without fail. He's faithful. He holds me accountable. He's amazing!
  • He dares to Dream! I admire that fact that he dreams. He's not okay with status quo. He is always stretching, reaching, learning and improving. He dreams big for our family and his career. He has the courage to step out of the box and try things that others might not. He is always working to improve himself and our family.
  • He believes in God. He teaches our children about God's word and how to show Christ to others through our actions.
God sure knew what He was doing when He brought us together. Kendall is the perfect spouse for me. Kendall challenges me to be a better person, to try harder and give more. He loves me and our children. He has taught me how to laugh! He amazes me continually.

Now its your turn! What do you admire about your husband? Take some time to blog about it or write it down. Then share it with your husband.
