I've been bitten by the bug...the coupon bug.
I will admit that I have been watching Extreme Couponing and I am amazed, bewildered, enthralled, inspired and sometimes saddened by that show.
Do I need a stockpile of products my family won't eat? No. Do I need a stockpile of of junk? No. Would enough toilet paper, laundry detergent, toothpaste, for a year be nice to have on hand? Yes, yes it would.
Would it be nice to save half....half on my groceries every time I shop? Yes. Would it be worth it to spend an hour a week to clip coupons to save half on my groceries? Yes.
So, five Sunday papers arrived today. The kids and I went through all the coupons. We organized, sorted, clipped and put them all away. They thought it was fun. Are they coupons for stuff I already buy? Yes. Cheese sticks, salsa, frozen taquitos, toilet paper, toothpaste, etc. We didn't clip coupons for stuff we won't use.
I think they thought it was even cooler that I came home with 7 boxes of cereal for FREE this week! They couldn't believe it. Neither could I.
Check out this website if you're interested in getting started. It is very helpful.
If you're on a more organic/natural way of eating, I hear Mambo Sprouts is a great place to get coupons.
Now the haunting question is...why didn't I do this when the kids were babies???? Why???
