Vaccinations

Parker age 7

This handsome young man is 12 now and just started 7th grade!!  That's middle school here in good 'ol OH. 
Today he had to get a Tdap booster.  He  had to physic himself up for it.  Who likes to get shots?  Kohl will tell you he does....really.
Parker on the other hand is hilarious when it comes to getting shots.  He starts the 'oow oww oooooww' yelling before the needle is even within inches of its destination.  Maybe he thinks yelling in anticipation of the prick will lessen the pain.  Who knows. 
Today we went to the Dr. office expecting him to receive 1 shot.  Instead he left with 3.  Tdap, meningitis, and HepA.
I know vaccinations can be a controversial subject.  If you don't believe or agree with vaccinating your child, then you should probably skip the rest of this post and come back another day. 
We vaccinate and always have since the day our children were born.  All three of our kids are healthy and strong able-bodied individuals.  They will continue to grow and develop and be healthy.  I don't think a vaccine is going to hinder them from developing or hinder their health. 

Totally changing subjects...did anyone catch The Pioneer Woman today on The Food Network?  It was great! Makes me want a ranch in the middle of nowhere...almost!
